What Is The Cure For Type 2 Diabetes – Is There 1

People are asking all the time “What Is The Cure For Type 2 Diabetes” in short there isn’t 1.

With all the research in diabetes treatments, it’s tempting to think someone has surely found a diabetes cure by now. But the reality is that there is no cure for diabetes not for type 1 diabetes nor type 2 diabetes. Although lifestyle changes can achieve remission in type 2 diabetes in some cases.

However, there are treatments, including simple things you can do daily, that make a big difference.

Is there a natural therapy that can cure diabetes?

Natural therapies such as supplements don’t cure diabetes, Some natural supplements have been shown to help improve your diabetes, but always check with your doctor before taking any supplement.

Be skeptical about claims of a diabetes cure. A genuine cure will have been tested repeatedly in clinical trials with clear success.

Lifestyle changes you need to make to manage diabetes.

  1. Manage your blood glucose levels: Check your glucose levels frequently. Take your medicine regularly. And balance your food intake with medication, exercise, stress management.
  2. Keep up with your medical appointments. That includes your doctor, diabetes, ophthalmologist, dentist, podiatrist.
  3. Plan your meals in advance and stick to the plan
  4. Loose weight
  5. Avoid refined carbohydrates. That means no pasta, rice or bread even wholegrain bread will spike your insulin
  6. Avoid added sugar.
  7. Avoid sweet drinks. It is best to stick to water, tea, coffee
  8. FEED YOUR GUT BUGS, not just yourself. There are trillions of bugs that live in your gut – their health is critical in determining your health. Many studies show links between the state of your gut bugs (your microbiota) and type 2 diabetes. The non digestible fibre in vegetables is the preferred food for your gut bacteria and when your gut bugs are happy, you will be happy. The wider the variety of colours, the more phytonutrients you will be getting
  9. If you like to snack, keep some high fat healthy snacks with you, such as olives, nuts or hummus. When you snack on refined carbohydrates such as biscuits, you go on a blood sugar roller coaster that results in you feeling hungry shortly after. Fats, on the other hand, will keep you fuller for longer

Is Type 2 Diabetes Reversible

There is increasing evidence that even if it can’t be cured, it is possible to put the condition into remission through weight loss.

Achieving weight loss through a combination of diet and exercise could mean that you do not have to start taking medication for type 2 diabetes, or that you might be able to come off medication for type 2.

In recent years, doctors have noticed that some obese patients who lose a lot of weight, whether through very low calorie diets or weight loss surgery, have blood sugar levels that drop back to normal, and stay that way without diabetes medicines. This has fueled interest in “reversing” diabetes through major weight loss.

There is no guarantee of success, but there is a high likelihood of achieving it – the researchers say that about 75% of obese people who manage to lose 15kg of weight go into diabetes remission. In addition, losing a lot of weight if you are obese is likely to have many other health benefits, even if you don’t bring your blood sugar levels down to non-diabetic levels.

Conclusion

Type 2 diabetes is NOT curable, it can however be controlled and put into remission so you do not have to take medication to lower your blood glucose levels. There is a range of ways to help put your type 2 diabetes into remission, including natural supplement products to help your body with insulin resilience, low carb diets, exercise & losing weight.
